Tejashwi Yadav played professional cricket before going into politics. He played with Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma for Delhi&amp;#039;s U-15, U-17, and U-19 teams. He signed with the Delhi Daredevils (IPL) in 2008, but he never played a game.&lt;br /&gt;

He participated in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy while playing for the state team of Jharkhand. In 2013, he gave up cricket to pursue a career in politics.&lt;br /&gt;

In 2010, Tejashwi started his political career by running for the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He was elected as a Raghopur MLA in 2015 and was appointed Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar in the Mahagathbandhan government, which was led by Nitish Kumar. &lt;br /&gt;
He was the Leader of the Opposition in the Bihar Legislative Assembly following the 2020 elections.&lt;br /&gt;
