Google is an American company founded in 1998 that develops computer software and on-line services.
Its initial core product is a search engine on the Internet, with revenue obtained thanks to advertising. Its products range has grown a lot since then, though in 2014 advertising is still its main source of profit.
Products
Google has a number of notable products some of which are:
- Android, a mobile operating system
- Chrome OS, an operating system for personal computers
- Google Chrome, a web browser.
Other popular services provided by Google include YouTube, Gmail, and Google Earth.
