Durga Puja (Bengali: দুর্গা পূজা) is an annual Hindu festival celebrated predominantly in the Indian states of West Bengal, Odisha, Tripura, Bihar, Assam, and among Hindus in Bangladesh and Nepal. It honors the goddess Durga's victory over the demon Mahishasura, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
