The deletion policy outlines the rules and guidelines for removing content from Bhikitia that does not meet its standards or policies. Content may be deleted for reasons such as lack of verifiability, copyright violations, or irrelevance to the platform's mission.

Types of Deletable Content

  1. Unsourced Articles

Articles without reliable sources that cannot be verified. Articles tagged for improvement must be updated within 30 days to avoid deletion.

  1. Spam or Advertising

Articles or pages created solely for promotional purposes.

  1. Copyright Violations

Content copied directly from other sources without proper attribution.

  1. Irrelevant Topics

Articles that do not align with Bhikitia’s scope or guidelines.

  1. Articles with Vandalism

Pages created with offensive, nonsensical, or inappropriate content.

  1. Redundant or Duplicate Articles

Articles covering the same topic unnecessarily.

  1. Personal Pages or Non-Notable Topics

Topics without general interest or verifiability.

Deletion Process

  1. Tagging for Deletion

Use the {{Delete}} template to notify administrators and editors.

  1. Discussion Period

Articles marked for deletion will have a 14-day discussion period on the Bhikitia:Request for Page Deletion.

  1. Administrator Review

Administrators assess the discussion and make a final decision based on Bhikitia’s policies.

  1. Immediate Deletion (Speedy Deletion)

For cases of blatant policy violations (e.g., spam, vandalism).

Restoration of Deleted Articles

  • If a user believes an article was deleted unfairly, they may request a review within 30 days of deletion.
  • The article may be restored if sufficient evidence of compliance with policies is provided.
