Bhikitia Authority (former: Bhikitia Council) is the executive leadership team responsible for overseeing the governance, operations, and strategic direction of Bhikitia, a community-driven online encyclopedia based in Bangladesh. The Authority guides Bhikitia’s mission to provide free, accessible knowledge in multiple languages and ensure the platform’s sustainable growth and integrity.
History
Originally established as the Bhikitia Council, the leadership body was renamed to Bhikitia Authority in early 2025 to better reflect its expanded executive responsibilities. The renaming marked a strategic shift toward a more formalized governance structure with clearer roles focused on operational management, legal compliance, and community development. The Authority continues to be appointed by the Chairman, who retains the supreme governing role within the organization.
