Mymensingh is the eighth-largest divisional metropolis and the 12th-largest city corporation in Bangladesh. The Mymensingh City Corporation covers a significant area and is the 7th-largest metropolis in the country and the 8th-largest by residents. As per the 2022 digital census and household census, the permanent residents of the Mymensingh metropolis are 576,722 people.
