The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is a flagship smartphone developed by Chinese technology company Huawei. It was officially announced on 11 June 2025, and is the premium model in the new Huawei Pura 80 lineup. It marks a shift in Huawei's branding strategy, replacing the former "P series" with the "Pura" label.
Overview
The Huawei Pura 80 Ultra features a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display, a triple-lens rear camera system, and a 5,700 mAh battery. It supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. It runs on Huawei's own HarmonyOS 4.2 and reportedly uses the Kirin 9010 chip, although Huawei has not confirmed full chip specifications.
Design
The phone showcases a curved "quad-float" display, an ultra-thin body, and a custom-textured finish available in multiple colors. It is rated IP68/IP69 for dust and water resistance.
Camera
The Pura 80 Ultra emphasizes imaging capabilities, integrating Huawei’s XMAGE engine. It includes a 50 MP main camera with ultra-lighting capabilities and a novel "macro telephoto" lens that supports both 3.5x and 10x optical zoom.
Variants and Pricing
The device comes in two storage variants:
- 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage – priced at ¥9,999 (approx. US$1,390)
- 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage – priced at ¥10,999 (approx. US$1,530)
Availability
As of June 2025, the Huawei Pura 80 Ultra is only available in China. Global release dates and prices have not yet been announced.
