Joshua Chibuikem Obioma (born 17 March 2000) is an Nigerian professional footballer who plays as a forward.

Reading

In April 2015, Joshua joined the youth ranks at Reading F.C. Academy, where he flourished and established himself within the U16 Youth team. Joshua signed a scholarship deal at the end of the 2015-16 season. At the age of 17, he was a member of David Dodds' U23 team, scoring 7 goals in 11 appearances for the Royals. Welling

In 2018, Obioma moved to Welling United on a free transfer. Joshua made his debut against Chipstead F.C. in the FA Cup second qualifying round. He also contributed to a 7-0 win, Scoring 3 out the 7. He made 16 appearances netting 5

Crawley Town

On 20 August 2020, joined EFL league 2 club Crawley Town on a two-year contract, with the option of one further years. A groin injury kept him sidelined until November 2020. He scored 6 goals in 18 appearances.

International Career

Joshua has represented the Nigeria national under-17 football team but is also eligible for England. He has been a part of the Nigeria national under-17 football team that took part in the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations. He has also been involved with the Nigeria national under-20 football team, where he made his debut in a 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso. However, he was left out of the Nigeria national under-20 football team during the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in 2019.

Personal Life

Obioma was born to a Nigerian mother and a Nigerian father. He attended Archbishop Tenison’s School Oval
