Dhaka Electric Supply Company Limited (DESCO) is a government-owned power company in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Power Development Board manages it under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Government of Bangladesh. This company provides electricity services mainly in the Dhaka North City Corporation area. Its headquarters is located in Dhaka. Dhaka Electric Supply Company was registered on November 3, 1996 and commenced commercial operations on September 24, 1998.
