Imtiaj Sultan Imran (Bengali: ইমতিয়াজ সুলতান ইমরান; born January 1, 1967) is a Bangladeshi rhymester, children's author, and editor. He is best known for his contribution to Bengali children's literature and currently serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Kavya Kishor Bangla, a literary magazine focusing on poetry and youth literature.

Early Life and Education

Imtiaj Sultan Imran was born on January 1, 1967, in Shaistaganj, located in the Habiganj District of Bangladesh. His literary interests began at a young age, and he wrote his first poem while still a student. His debut poem was published in the Bengali daily Dainik Banglar Bani in 1988.

Career

Imran has held various editorial roles in the Bangladeshi literary field. He previously worked at the newspaper Prantik and served as the associate editor at Jugbheri. He later founded and became the Editor-in-Chief of Kavya Kishor Bangla, a prominent literary platform for poetry and children's writings.

He is recognized for his humorous, educational, and patriotic rhymes. His literary works often blend cultural themes with accessible language for younger audiences.
