Bangladesh (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ, lit. The Land of Bengal) is a country in South Asia located on the Bay of Bengal. It shares borders with India to the west, north, and east, and Myanmar to the southeast. Bangladesh is the eighth-most populous country in the world, with over 165 million people, and has a rich cultural, historical, and natural heritage.
