The Wayback Machine is a digital archive of the World Wide Web founded by the Internet Archive. It was created on 10 May 1996 but was released to the public on 24 October 2001.
It was founded by Brewster Kahle and Bruce Gilliat.
It allows users to see how websites looked in the past.
As of 3 January 2024, the Wayback Machine has archived more than 860 billion web pages and well over 99 petabytes of data.
